MOLN is advancing professional opportunities for all nurses through:
Leadership Development— The mission of facilitating the professional development of nursing leaders is achieved through district and statewide meetings and conferences. MOLN also works collaboratively with other nursing organizations as another facet of the mission of MOLN.
Professional Activities — MOLN is recognized as an organization that is a voice for nursing leadership in Minnesota. MOLN collaborates with educational institutions to provide insight and guidance regarding the changing environment that new nurses are exposed to as students and as new graduates.
Political Advocacy — MOLN influences health care policy through collaboration with service, education, and regulation at the local, state and national levels, keeps members informed and involved in public policy that relates to health care. With ever-changing health care concerns, members can look to MOLN and its Government Affairs Committee to keep them informed.
Education — MOLN focuses on the education of its members through its annual conferences, seminars and website. Other educational offerings are available at each of the seven district levels.
Mentoring — By sharing information and insights with members of their own profession, experienced nurses can enable others to maximize their potential thereby improving patient care and ultimately strengthening the profession of nursing.
Networking — MOLN provides the ability to network with other leaders in nursing about challenges facing health care.
Diversity — MOLN members come from various health care settings across the state. MOLN membership is open to all nurses and focuses on leadership development skills. All nurses are leaders!
