MOLN at the Capitol - Tuesday, February 26
The nurse staffing ratio issue is heating up at the Minnesota State Capitol. Things have been moving quickly related to policy and advocacy in the last several days, and it is clear that the nurse staffing ratios will be under discussion.
In order to respond appropriately to this important issue MOLN is holding several lobby days at the capitol this year for our members.
Designed to make it possible for us to have more personal face to face legislative visits over a sustained period of time, these smaller events will help show a presence at the legislature for nurse leaders. If you are interested in making legislative visits but are a little nervous about doing this on your own, then you should feel comfortable joining us for these visits. MOLN leaders and staff will schedule and facilitate the visits so the only ask of you is to provide your expert voice.
The three-hour session will begin with a discussion of issues and preparation for the meetings with legislators then we will all go together on hill visits.
Registration:
Advance RSVP is requested so we can we can make the appropriate appointments with legislators that represent the nurses attending. To register to join us on Feb. 26 click above Register link. MOLN members should sign-in first.
Other dates MOLN will be at the Capitol:
